Air Defense - 1v1 Missile Intercept Duel
Air Defense on FlagDuel is a free 1v1 intercept duel: an identical salvo of 12 missiles attacks your city and your opponent's at the same moments, a tap fires an interceptor from your radar dome, every kill also launches a counter-strike at their battery, and whoever shoots down more of the twelve wins the round.
How to play
- Press START - enemy launchers begin a 12-missile salvo at your city, and an identical salvo flies at theirs.
- The moment a missile launches, tap your half. Your dome fires an interceptor; the earlier the tap, the higher the kill. Every kill sends a counter-strike across the divide.
- When all 12 missiles are resolved, the player with more kills takes the round. Win 2 of 3 rounds to take the match.

SoonFrequently asked questions
Is the missile salvo the same for both players?
Yes. The 12 launch times and targets are dealt from a shared seed, so both cities face exactly the same attack at exactly the same moments. The only difference between the two halves is how fast each player reacts.
What happens when a missile gets through?
It hits one of your city blocks, which visibly burns for the rest of the round. A miss costs you the interception point and the skyline, but there is no extra penalty on top.
How is a tie on kills decided?
By reaction speed. If both players shoot down the same number of missiles, the round goes to the side whose total reaction time across its intercepts was lower.
Do my counter-strikes score points?
No. The rockets your dome sends back at their battery are the visible cost of failing to stop you - the score itself is intercepts only, so defense stays the one skill being measured.
